Gene Casey, August 14th, 5:30 PM FREE CONCERT SUMMER THURSDAY – Long Island Museum’s outdoor stage at the Carriage Museum (Indoors in the Gillespie Room in case of rain): Bring the family, pack a picnic, and make sure to wear your dancing shoes for Gene Casey with Brian Chabza on violin and Pete Crugnale on strong bass. Cool country, honky tonk, blues, ballads, and classic and original songs. “There’s something special about Gene Casey, a local singer-songwriter whose music makes you feel like you’ve been transformed to another time and place. His tunes are wistful, a little melancholy, and evoke a simpler time” — Lee Meyer, Northforker 7/2024.”
